There's really not a more impressive waterfall than Triple Falls after a good rainstorm.  It has the feel of a tropical location like Hawaii in the spring when the leaves and trees have turned green and it's one of those places where I could spend all day propped against a tree and listening to the falls thunder down to the pool below.  It would be incorrect to call this a hike since the falls are a short walk (maybe 100 yds) from the small parking area at Camp Orr Boy Scout ranch in Newton County Arkansas.

Inside Info -  Use Google Maps (or any reputable mapping app) to locate this gem near Jasper.  Be advised that the gravel road to Camp Orr is very steep and bumpy in places and 4-wheel or all-wheel drive is strongly recommended.  The parking area is just outside the ranch and can only accommodate 4 or 5 vehicles.  This location is also known at Double Falls and that name is due to the two streams that feed the falls.  However most call it Triple Falls for obvious reasons.  One of the streams feeding the falls comes from inside the mountain it's situated on leading me to believe there must be a large, cavern in the bowels of the mountain.  It's possible to get to the top of the falls but that involves a steep climb up the side of the hill and you will likely get muddy while doing it so beware.   And also please stay away from the edge of the falls because those rocks get quite slick when the water is flowing and it would be a nasty fall to the bottom.  There is no swimming allowed in the pool at the bottom of the falls.

Final Word - These beautiful falls are accessible to all fitness levels and all ages and is just a short walk from your car.  I've been there 5 times and it's never been crowded and twice my group was the only ones there.
